Range Rover alloy wheel repair and refurbishment at our Romford, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead workshops, with loan wheels available so you are not without the car.
Range Rover alloys run large, typically 20 to 22 inches on Sport and Velar models and up to 23 inches on Autobiography trims. Unlike many performance saloons, Range Rover wheels are usually a square fitment (the same size front and rear), though wheel and tyre width still varies a lot by model and trim. Diamond turned and machined finishes are common, alongside satin and gloss black, and the wheels are a visible part of the car's styling, so an uneven repair stands out more than on a smaller, plainer wheel. Air suspension is fitted to most Range Rover models, which makes correct balancing and TPMS handling during a wheel-off job more important than on a standard coil-sprung car; an unbalanced wheel can show up as a vibration that is easy to mistake for a suspension fault.

This is one of our own jobs: the same wheel when it came in with tired, scuffed paint, and after a fresh diamond cut and refinish. Your Range Rover wheels go through the same process.

Typical damage
Common Range Rover wheel damage and how we fix it
Range Rover wheels pick up damage from two different directions: kerb and pothole damage from city and motorway driving, in the same way as any large-wheeled car on low-profile tyres, and scrapes or dents from rougher ground when the car is used off-road or on unmade tracks and farm gateways, which is less common on saloon-car brands. A buckled wheel is checked and straightened before any cosmetic work starts, and a diamond turned face that has gone cloudy or corroded is re-cut on a precision lathe and resealed with fresh lacquer. Where a wheel needs a full colour change or a fresh satin or gloss black finish, powder coating gives an even, durable result across the whole set.
1
Step 1: We check the damage
We look over every wheel first and find each kerb mark, crack and buckle before any work starts.
2
Step 2: We repair it
Buckles are straightened and cracks are welded in the workshop, before any cosmetic work.
3
Step 3: We refinish it
The wheel is powder coated or diamond cut to match, then checked, balanced and ready to refit.

If your Range Rover wheel is cracked, buckled or has kerb or off-road damage, see alloy wheel repair. If it has faded or you want a different finish, alloy wheel refurbishment covers diamond cut and powder coating.
Can off-road scrapes on a Range Rover wheel be repaired?
In most cases yes. Light scrapes and dents can be filled and refinished; more serious structural damage is assessed by our technicians before any cosmetic work starts.
Does a repaired Range Rover wheel need rebalancing?
Yes, every wheel is rebalanced and refitted correctly as part of the job, which matters more on a Range Rover than on many cars because of the air suspension.
What warranty do you offer on Range Rover wheel work?
Powder coating and diamond cut refinishing come with a 3 year warranty. Crack repairs come with a 1 year warranty.
