Prestige and supercar wheels, repaired and refinished

We repair and refurbish alloy wheels for Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Lamborghini and Bugatti, among other prestige and supercar marques, at our Romford, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead workshops. Loan wheels are available so you are not without the car.

Despite being very different brands, prestige and supercar wheels share the same practical risks: large diameters (usually 20 to 22 inches), low-profile or run-flat tyres that give the rim far less cushioning than a standard family car, and in many cases a very low ride height that makes speed bumps and steep driveways as much of a risk as kerbs. Forged construction is common on the sportier marques (McLaren, Lamborghini, Bugatti), built to save weight, while Bentley and Rolls-Royce favour larger cast or forged wheels designed to look as good stationary as moving. Carbon ceramic brakes, fitted to many McLaren and some Lamborghini models, need extra care during any wheel-off work to avoid contaminating the disc or caliper.

Gloss black, diamond cut, matte black and high-polish finishes all appear across this group of brands, often in two-tone combinations. Rolls-Royce wheels have a self-levelling centre bearing that keeps the "RR" badge upright, which needs to be handled correctly during removal and refitting. Centre-lock wheels, rather than the usual multi-bolt fitment, are used on some McLaren, Lamborghini and Bentley performance trims.

Typical damage

Common supercar wheel damage and how we fix it

Kerb damage to the rim edge is the most common issue across every brand in this group, followed by corroded or chipped diamond cut and polished faces, and buckled or cracked wheels from potholes. A damaged wheel is checked and straightened, or welded if cracked, before any cosmetic work starts. A corroded diamond cut or polished face is re-cut on a precision lathe and resealed with fresh lacquer. Painted and two-tone finishes are colour matched from your actual wheel, not a chart, since the shade can vary between production batches on low-volume cars.

  1. A dent in the rim of an alloy wheel

Step 1: We check the damage

We look over every wheel first and find each kerb mark, crack and buckle before any work starts.

  2. Preparing an alloy wheel for its new finish

    Step 2: We repair it

Buckles are straightened and cracks are welded in the workshop, before any cosmetic work.

  3. An alloy wheel powder coated in matt black

    Step 3: We refinish it

The wheel is powder coated or diamond cut to match, then checked, balanced and ready to refit.
