Audi alloy wheel repair and refurbishment at our Romford, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead workshops, with loan wheels available so you can keep driving while the work is done.
Diamond cut alloys are fitted across much of the Audi range, from the A3 upward, either as standard or as part of an S line pack, giving the two-tone look of a bright machined face against a painted spoke. S line trim, widely fitted throughout the range, usually brings a larger, sportier multi-spoke design, often diamond cut. Audi Sport's S and RS models, including the S3, S4, RS3, RS4 and RS6, step up again to larger alloys with low-profile tyres, commonly finished in gloss black, titanium grey or diamond cut. A lower-profile tyre gives the rim less cushioning against a kerb or a deep pothole than the thicker tyres fitted to a standard A-series model.

Typical damage
Common Audi wheel damage and how we fix it
The most common job we see on Audi alloys is corrosion on a diamond cut face. Salt and moisture get under a chipped or worn lacquer at the machined edge, and the exposed metal corrodes to a cloudy white patch that spreads if it is left. Kerb damage to the rim edge and buckled wheels from potholes are the other two common issues, especially on S line and S/RS models running larger wheels and lower-profile tyres. A buckled Audi wheel is checked and straightened, or welded if it is cracked, before any cosmetic work starts. For a diamond cut Audi wheel, the corroded or chipped area is machined away on a precision lathe and resealed with fresh lacquer, so the face matches the rest of the set. For a painted or powder coated Audi wheel, we match the original colour, whether that is standard silver, titanium grey or gloss black.

Repair or refurbishment?
Which service do you need?
If your Audi wheel is cracked, buckled or kerbed, start with alloy wheel repair. If it is just corroded, faded or you want a different finish, alloy wheel refurbishment with diamond cut or powder coating is the right service.
Why has my Audi's diamond cut wheel gone cloudy or white?
This is corrosion, not damage to the metal itself. Salt and moisture get under a chipped or worn lacquer at the machined edge and corrode the exposed metal, which shows as a cloudy white patch. We re-cut the face on a lathe to remove it, then reseal it with fresh lacquer.
Can an S line or RS Audi wheel be refinished to match the rest of the set?
Yes. We match the original finish, whether that is a diamond cut face, titanium grey, gloss black or standard silver paint, so the refinished wheel blends in with the other three.
What warranty do you offer on Audi wheel work?
Powder coating and diamond cut refinishing come with a 3 year warranty, the only one offered by any company on all powder coating and diamond cut wheels. Crack repairs come with a 1 year warranty.
