Mercedes-Benz alloy wheel repair and refurbishment at our Romford, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead workshops, with loan wheels so you can keep driving while the work is done.
AMG models and higher trims are usually fitted with large multi-spoke alloys, 19 to 21 inches on cars like the AMG E-Class, S-Class and S63, often in a staggered fitment (wider at the rear) that cannot simply be rotated to even out wear. Many AMG wheels use a two-tone finish, a grey or gloss black spoke paired with a bright diamond cut face, which needs careful colour and lacquer matching if only one wheel is being repaired. Factory shades commonly seen include Himalaya Grey and Tantalum Grey, alongside standard silver and high-gloss black. Most Mercedes-Benz models also run run-flat tyres as standard, which, as with other German performance brands, means a thinner sidewall and less cushioning against kerb and pothole impacts.

This is one of our own jobs: the same wheel when it came in with tired, scuffed paint, and after a fresh diamond cut and refinish. Your Mercedes-Benz wheels go through the same process.
Kerb marks, corrosion and peeling lacquer are taken back to clean metal first, so the new finish lasts. Diamond cut and powder coated finishes come with our 3 year warranty.

Common Mercedes-Benz wheel damage and how we fix it
The combination of large wheels, low-profile tyres and multi-spoke designs means kerb damage and corroded diamond cut faces are the two jobs we see most often on Mercedes-Benz alloys. A chipped lacquer on a diamond cut face lets water and road salt under the clear coat, which shows up as cloudy white marks spreading from the edge. We re-cut the face on a precision lathe to remove the corrosion, then reseal it. For a two-tone AMG wheel, matching both the spoke colour and the diamond cut lacquer level (gloss, satin or matt) is what makes the repaired wheel blend into the set rather than stand out. A buckled or cracked Mercedes-Benz wheel, from a pothole or a hard kerb strike, is checked and straightened or welded before any refinishing starts.
1
Step 1: We check the damage
We look over every wheel first and find each kerb mark, crack and buckle before any work starts.
2
Step 2: We repair it
Buckles are straightened and cracks are welded in the workshop, before any cosmetic work.
3
Step 3: We refinish it
The wheel is powder coated or diamond cut to match, then checked, balanced and ready to refit.

If your Mercedes-Benz wheel is cracked, buckled or has kerb damage, see alloy wheel repair. If it has just faded or you want a different finish, alloy wheel refurbishment with diamond cut or powder coating is the right service.
Can a cloudy or corroded AMG diamond cut wheel be fixed without replacing it?
Yes. The cloudiness is corrosion under a chipped lacquer, not damage to the metal itself. We re-cut the face on a lathe to remove it and reseal it with fresh lacquer.
Will a repaired two-tone AMG wheel match the other three?
We match both the spoke colour and the lacquer finish (gloss, satin or matt) of your existing wheels, so the repaired one blends in rather than standing out.
What warranty do you offer on Mercedes-Benz wheel work?
Powder coating and diamond cut refinishing come with a 3 year warranty. Crack repairs come with a 1 year warranty.
